Um, no. Gober is 45 miles away from McKinney. It’s in a rural area, in a different county, and nothing like McKinney.

McKinney’s got McMansions, it’s suburbia on a plate. And a lot of those kids were from McKinney, which isn’t only whitebread land. 25% is non-white.

I’m not defending McKinney - and I don’t need to. Nor (god help me) am I defending that asshat cop. He should be GONE.

But let’s be honest here when we discuss things. Maybe it makes some feel better to say “oh, I get it, it’s hickville, all rednecks.” Nope, the people that live there are more like those in Office Space than Hee Haw.

IMO, that makes it worse. This is suburbia, USA and it’s fucked up.

I don’t speak for Shiplord Kirel but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t comparing McKinney to Gober in the way you describe. In fact, he was trying to provide a little history of the area and show us a recent picture of the old Post Office as a way of comparing Gober and McKinney as you just did.
