It goes farther than that. The very projections they’re now touting as evidence that the CBO needs to be shut down are the projections they’ve used for years to attack the ACA, claiming that the bill became law based upon faulty projections that never came true. Of course, what they never say aloud is that the CBO couldn’t project that the Roberts court would make the Medicaid expansion optional and that dozens of red states would refuse to expand Medicaid out of partisan bitterness.
