That is what is lacking: A Gettysburg address. We do not mourn, we blame. We score political points while others suffer.
As an eight year old on November 22nd 1963, I remember America mourned. There was no calumny on anyone. It was not the time.
I hope I am not mischaracterizing what you meant but this is what it means to me.
