yep. i have absolutely no doubt Republicans will happily jump on this and ball it til the cows come home. Susan Collins will get her standard pass so that she can continue to pretend she is a “moderate” Republican. All the rest will do exactly what the “moderate” Republicans in the House did, as I predicted: they’ll hear McConnell ring the bell and they’ll come come run to rub themselves around his legs. The good news? The only way this thing actually passes is if it somehow could go through reconciliation, and it’s going to add a shit-ton of debt to the deficit, so that won’t work. In order to actually make it revenue-neutral, it will have to be revamped so severely that the Freedom Caucus will once again balk.
