Just a drive-by, but I’m not going to dump on Trump for visiting Texas. He’d be raked over the coals for indifference if he didn’t go and is getting grief for going. As long as he’s far enough away not to be a huge problem, he’ll show up for an hour and leave. No major harm done.

Melania may or may not leave with him, having sunk hip deep in the mud because she’s wearing stilettos (she’s not heavy, but reducing the area that weight is spread over really concentrates the force.) However. She may not be able to wear flats. If you wear heels all the time, your Achilles tendon shortens and your foot can’t easily flatten out to stand on. It used to happen to fashion conscious women back in the ’50s and early ’60s.
