I don’t know who the Dems are putting up for office for the seat, but if I were a Minnesotan I would take a very critical look at Richard Painter … he was part of an administration that launched a devastating war that created instability and hardship for millions across two countries and arguably led to the rise of so-called Islamic State.

Franken gave a very supportive and gracious handoff to Tina Smith. She seems to be pretty liberal and doing well in the seat.
