re: #431 wrenchwench

I was introduced to Fentanyl on the helicopter ride that I don’t remember. I met the guy who gave it to me. He said his name, then, ‘I’m the guy who gave you the shot that let you forget that day.’ I thanked him. I knew his sister when she raced [bicycles] for the shop I worked at in Washington. She moved down here a few months before I did. We had a mutual ‘What are you doing here?!?!’ moment when I worked at the other bike shop.

It’s good to remember some things. It’s even better to forget others.

The only times I’ve had Fentanyl were after hand surgeries for Dupuytren’s Contractures (four in all). (Hand surgery is amazingly excruciating - each time I got the Fentanyl after morphine failed.)

My last surgery was in June. I still have the majority of the opiates they sent me home with (as occasionally my left hand still causes great pain because the surgical incision hasn’t fully healed yet, I ripped it open in my car wreck, and my hand is still swollen).

Now returning you to Little Green Footballs after an unscheduled whinge.
