Thinking about that town hall last night… any politician, Dem or GOP, who didn’t pay attention to what happened there and the mood is a damn fool. This was not a room full of thousands of democrats. This was a room full of thousands of people of both parties who have come together over a single issue and that is to ban military weapons from civilian hands. Period.

When Marco kept going back to “we are so divided, have to work together” blah blah, he was standing in the middle of an auditorium filled with people who were working together and coming to agreement on this issue. It was this agreement that resulted in every bullshit argument from him and Dana to fall flat on its ass. They weren’t cheering for the Dem Senator and Rep because they were democrats. They were cheering because they, and Sheriff Isreal, were the ones proposing sensible actual solutions, not just more bullshit which was seen right through. The proof of this was the cheers for a heroic teacher who said she voted for Trump and was a supporter but called total bullshit on the arming teachers crap. This wasn’t about politics, it was about taking action against the insanity of our gun culture.
