Between 7-10 million active subscribers at its peak, currently at roughly 5 million. The number of active players is a bit lower (ie people who log in and play on at least a weekly basis) - probably still well over 2 million though.

Actually, the peak subscriber count was a tick over 12 million, and currently hovers at around 10 million. That is subscribed accounts; no telling how many of those are active players.
