OT, but this is a guitar related question for the musical types:

I have a Fender tele (Mexico made) ‘52 repro. I love the maple fretboard. I’ve had rosewood fretboards before, and an ebony fretboard bass, but I always come back to the maple. Maybe it’s just the Tele neck vs. the Strat neck. I can’t say I notice a tonal difference.

So, the question: Maple or Rosewood? Preferences? Differences?

Edit: I notice frequent discussions of various gun brands and even WW2 airplanes and cars, but the guns and planes are like Greek to me. Figured there would be some guitar nuts around.
