Oh sure. The GOP could do a lot to try and appeal to Latinos. Problem is, they have to also appeal to the same knuckle dragging … Tea Party base. The GOP are never going to gain among Latinos as long as they have to whore themselves out to the racists to win.

And they fail to understand that Latinos have a sense of community that goes beyond their front porch step: they want good schools and reliable public services, even if they cost cost money and do not support such a radical “cut all taxes and abolish government” approach.

And since they have seen locals frothing at the mouth and passing legislation against other Latinos, they have fewer reservations about appealing to the federal government.
