I remember it well. I remember calling my niece nightly to tell her to vote for Coakley, even though she was terrible. That Brown was a totally empty suit. My powers of persuasion were such that she voted for Brown to “give him a chance” (and then voted for him again the next time because “he hadn’t really screwed up that badly.”) I was extremely disappointed in her thought process.

I voted for him as well, so you can lay some of the blame at my feet (ACA issues being a major factor in Brown winning in 2010). Came to my senses second time around.

Even though I have voted for presidential candidates of both parties, there was a clear delineation of when I switched. I will never understand swing voters.
