Can’t remember where I read it, but somebody was questioning why anyone would lace marijuana with fentanyl since fentanyl is so much more expensive in the first place. (Don’t know if that’s true, but hey—I read it on the Internet, so….)

An example of laissez faire cannabis sales:

Dealer A sells plain ol’ cannabis.
Dealer B sells cannabis with Fentanyl (not informing the buyer) with a slight markup for the better “high.”

Dealer B addicts all his purchasers to his laced cannabis and marks up the price after putting Dealer A out of business.
