It heavily colored my parents’ decision to bless my union to Mrs. Fish. She’s not what you call traditional, as you might expect; but they refused to be like their parents, and as long as I was happy and sure that she would be right for me, they wanted to be there for me. In that moment, I have never been prouder to be their son.
