Every time I hear a white conservative cite MLK I want to hear more from that guy Malcolm X.

It also ignores that there were many voices. Not just Malcolm or Martin but others too. I’m at Union Station in DC a lot and there’s a statue dedicated to A Phillip Randolph, who had been doing Civil Rights work since before WWII and in fact organized the event where MLK gave the famous I Have a Dream Speech. It’s fine to discuss MLK but I get erally tired of him being used as a tool to dismiss present activists for not “doing it right” because MLK himself certainly wasn’t told he was doing it right by these same people’s ideological forefathers.
