I just won’t touch Seagate drives anymore. With a dismal 1 year warranty and a high failure rate, this might be ok for a “junk” drive, but I’d never again store anything important on these things. That being said, my 10+ year old Seagate IDE drive is still running like a champ.

I just did a new build with a de-lidded 3770K and a Crucial m4 SSD. SSD really is legit. Maybe in a few years, the capacity/$ ratio will be better.
