That the IRS will somehow become bigger than other agencies or departments like DOJ or DOD is likewise asinine.

IRS has enforcement capabilities to prosecute tax crimes, so it’s particularly rich that the GOP sides with the tax evaders and scammers when their entire schtick has been “law and order”. It applies only to GOP enemies, not to them.

It’s the natural progression from the bullshyte claim that during the Obama Administration, the IRS was being used by him to target conservative groups for political retribution.

Some political groups on the right were examined over their tax status, but more progressive groups were (that part conveniently gets left out in the telling).
