re: #430 Killgore Trout

I just finished watching last night’s Lost episode. They sure are moving the story along and wrapping things up. I hope the conclusion isn’t as simplistic as they’re making it out to be.

Let me suggest something, the alternate time line we are seeing is not the idyllic little word as it appears to be, it’s actually the “world” which will experience what happens when the Island doesn’t exist anymore to contain the “evil.”

At the end of the episode, we see the man in black break the bottle, not remove the cork. It was his plan all along to release himself from the Island not by getting rid of Jacob, but by getting rid of the Island, aka… the Incident (the explosion).

Remember, at the beginning of the season, in the alternate timeline, we see the Island at the bottom of the ocean. What we haven’t seen yet, in the alternate time line, is what happens in a world where that “evil” is not contained.
