GOP gerrymanders should not be assumed to be invulnerable. In fact a black swan event like Trump as the GOP nominee is exactly the kind of thing that might put some of those gerrymandered seats in play.

I’m absolutely sure that Hillary Clinton will have people look into this, if she is the nominee, and it would be in character for her to put both money and time into winnable House races.

Sanders does not appear to think along these lines.

Honestly, I think that’s because Bernie really does view his “revolution” as being about him. You go through his history and you find again and again that the man views everybody who is not on the exact same wavelength as him as an enemy. And he’s made it clear that he doesn’t it as his job to campaign for other progressive candidates, going so far as to threaten the end of an interview in order to avoid answering why he wouldn’t support other progressive candidates. I would not be surprised if, after it becomes mathematically impossible for him to win the nomination, he goes totally scorched earth on the DNC.
