I think Bush is sick of the drama (like many of us). He has been busy lately helping out in Haiti. Much, much more important IMO.

It takes 5 minutes to sit down and craft a short statement on the issue. It’s important enough to take 5 minutes to stand up for a former associate and adviser, and to stand up for religious freedom and against bigotry.
