And just as in the Thirties when the New York Times was fluffing Hitler (for which they have yet to apologise or retract), they have to go out of their way to introduce them to the rest of us ā¦ except instead of Jews itās autoworkers who voted themselves out of jobs, farmers who voted themselves out of farms, &c.
In Cheyenne a couple weeks ago at our dine-out, my wife and I had to listen to a whole table full of people insisting that farms are doing better and factories are coming back across the nation. Facts didnāt matter (got the āThatās your opinionā line).
We wonāt be going back (but not for those reasons, far worse happened at that dine-out).
It is noteworthy that in that group of people, I am the only one who does not have a college degree. The political naivetĆ© doesnāt just come from the ānon-educatedā as someone put here a couple weeks ago about those of us with no college degree.
