True. As noted above, the GOP leadership isn’t even really heavily investing in primary races, because the TPers are simply not the threat that they’re advertised as. But they have to keep selling this shit to the base because if they don’t, they might not show up to the polls in November.

I’ll bet money that if the GOP manages to retain their majority in the House and gain seats in the Senate in November, we’ll see at least one rube try to bring articles of impeachment to the floor. For now, it’s just electoral red meat to get the idiots to the polls, but if the GOP makes big enough gains, I’m expecting the teabaggers to try impeachment at least once.
