The little Revell plastic model of the Pershing II was a very popular rocket for model rocket competition where you had to convert a plastic model to “fly” powered by the standard model rocket engines.

It was always announced at the event that everyone wanting to view the launches to be on their toes. Getting a plastic model off the launch pad could be scary.

I can still remember a Revell Gemini Space Walker Astronaut chasing people.

Mine was a Gemini Capsule with clear plastic stabilizer fins. Good times.

I have an Estes entry-level in the grandkid’s spare bedroom, and an ammo can full of motors in the garage. He’s visiting this long weekend, and the weather is very good.
