I have to admit that I’m at a total loss how anybody who is a Sanders supporter could possibly then see themselves voting for Trump if (when) Bernie finally concedes. I’m hard pressed to see how this could be anything more than a “I didn’t get my pick, so I’m going to kick all the pieces off the board and hold my breath until I turn blue” position.

I can’t think of a single position where the two candidates come even close to anything like an alignment. This isn’t the position of a principled citizen, it’s the position of a self-centered egotist who’s only position is himself.

I admit I haven’t seen many Bernie Bros in the wild who have said they’d vote for him. Most I’ve seen have made the classic “sore loser progressive” argument: “We’re better off with another Republican than (insert moderate Democrat) in office!,” with the usual wild-eyed talk about how said Republican will totally wreck the country so fast that by the time he comes up for reelection, the American people will rise up in “revolution” and throw him out in favor of a socialist savior.
