Some cats have a weird combo of extreme bravery and moderate stupidity…

So we went to visit the wild animal park in Dundee, Scotland. My wife had a cairn terrier that was always close at her feet. We saw no signs at the gate reading no dogs allowed and the ticket seller did not notice the dog, so we went in with the dog.

Coming to the wolf enclosure, I was surprised to see a wolf spot our dog and then run off…until I saw that he had simply gone off to alert the rest of the pack and bring them back!

We were later advised that dogs were not in fact allowed, we asked why there was no sign and the caretaker said that they were having such trouble formulating the text of a sign that indicated that seeing-eye or aid dogs were allowed that they elected not to put up a sign at all.

I found that rather odd.

But then again, it was Dundee.
