Traveller. My first game in 1977 and still my favorite.

Basic Fantasy - that’s one of the modern “white box” clones isn’t it? Probably be good for running in Blackmoor if it’s the one I’m thinking of.

I liked traveller, but found that the character generation was the best part. I’ve always been partial to fantasy RPG over Sci-Fi.

Basic Fantasy is white box with D20 mechanics. I like it because it’s very rules light and gets back to what I liked about RPGs, being creative and telling a story not wading through tons of supplemental info to look up some obscure rule.
