A fellow Royals fan!

Sadly they likely won’t be back in the World Series for another 30 years (as they sell off their good players and replace them with the castaways from other teams *spit*).

The good thing historically about the Cleveland Indians is they have had some of the best scouts and player developers in the game. They have great young teams all the time. Then when they become free agents people like the Yankees and Sox come along and sweep them up. The key is keeping the youngsters coming to make the team exciting at the very least.

And since the Indians AAA team is here in Columbus we get to watch them grow up in our nice downtown ballpark.

Side fact. Huntington Pak was chosen the best new ballpark in America in 2009. Which just happened to be the same year New York opened their new costly Yankees Stadium. That pissed the Yankees and many a New York sports writer off big time.

From the Huntington Park Wiki page:

On August 12, 2009, Huntington Park was named the Ballpark of the Year by Baseballparks.com, beating out all other new or significantly renovated baseball stadiums in the country, including such Major League parks as the new Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. The award is given to the new stadium with the “best combination of superior design, attractive site selection and fan amenities.”

Huntington (Bank) Park - Downtown Columbus - Home of the Cleveland Indians AAA Club the Columbus Clippers. A great city scape view with good food and low costs.
