This crash occurred 5 miles from my childhood home.
Our whole house shook when this jet crashed.
For weeks..months…years…later, I would listen to hear the wheels screeching on every jet that approached the tarmat on a landing jet..to make sure it was down safely.

When we were little, and since my parents wern’t well off, we’d go to A&W for floats then we’d go watch the planes land at Moisant.
