re: #440 J.S.

Actually, I was discussing POWs — that is an acronym for “Prisoner of War” meaning these were military personnel. And I fear I am at a loss with respect to what you’re attempting to state (or argue.) I do not understand your points. What are you saying about American internment camps? (are you referring to the ones located inside the United States during WWII? those built to house Japanese nationals? were you attempting to say that that was no different from nazi camps, other than murders?)

Our internment camps were hell holes. We incarcerated people without due process. Poor food, little sanitation, little medical care. The only difference between our internment camps and those run by both the Japanese and Germans is that we weren’t interested in murdering the occupants through many different means (gassing, starving, gunning them down, etc.). I am familiar with the term POWs and knew that Japan was not a signer to the Geneva Conventions during WWII.

I am referring to the camps run on US soil during WWII for internment of Japanese, German, and Italians and yes, except for the murders the conditions in our camps were very close to those run by the Axis powers.
