Something that should garner more headlines that it has:

Antarctica’s ice sheet is melting 3 times faster than before

Put simply:

Antarctica is melting, especially West Antarctica. This is expected.

The melting is accelerating. This is likely to increase.

It’s not going to stop and will even melt more, faster, as we continue to raise the surface temp of the Earth. This is expected.

But having a summary of the data is always a good thing.

Still, most people are in denial.

I’m going to put this in the category of “I’ve seen science fiction that starts this way and it always turns out bad.”

In all seriousness, though, what kind of sea level rise are we looking at? Should I be more than four blocks from the beach?
