Virginia Postrel has written several articles about Obamaglam - people see what they want to see in him. Keep in mind there is “evil” glamour as well — so some might be projecting evil that’s not there just as some are projecting good that’s not there…
In the articles she compares what people say about Obama’s plans with what he actually says, and points out that what they were seeing wasn’t in what he said.
