I watched the episode that he said that. In context (IIRC) his point was that he was for a fair market competitive environment for insurance companies, not for a public option. The video confuses the issue because his guest is saying that the marker is a defacto public option.

I don’t think he said he was for the public option. Frankly, I’m not sure where he stands except that he says he wants to know how it all would be paid for. Me too, for that matter.
