As the mother of three children I read the Observer article in horror. I cried for hours after reading it. I am shocked and appalled at the Texas state legislature. Their goal seems to be to humiliate women. You know what, I am glad Rush said what he said, because now women have been alerted to the right wing efforts to restrict access to basic health care, which sometimes includes abortion. I am so angry, but grateful that women and men all over the country are standing up and fighting back.

The PA governors response on that was absurd. “You can just close your eyes [when the fetus monitor is put in front of your face].” Gee, when you’re being humiliated, all you have to do is close your eyes and everything’s OK! What an amazing dumbass.
