Via Scotusblog:

SCOTUS today dismissed Gill v. Whitford, the Wisconsin partisan gerrymandering case, for lack of standing (opinion here).
SCOTUS also held as follows:
(1) Existence of probable cause for arrest does not bar First Amendment retaliatory-arrest claim in this case (opinion in Lozman v. Riviera Beach here);
(2) Miscalculation of sentencing guidelines determined to be plain error ordinarily calls for court of appeals to vacate sentence (opinion in Rosales-Mireles here);
(3) Record as a whole supports judge’s decision not to grant a proportional sentence reduction (opinion in Chavez-Meza here).
SCOTUS adds five cases to its merits docket for next term, including antitrust case involving class-action suit against Apple by iPhone app purchasers (case page at this link).
The order list is available on the Supreme Court’s website at this link.
