Oh, and I wanna burst the bubble of those who think that forcing Franken’s resignation now will somehow win over women voters because it shows we take sexual harassment/assault “seriously.” That ship sailed when the DNC didn’t demand his immediate resignation and push to remove him from office. Now, if he does resign from office tomorrow, any possible positive outcome will be drowned out by “THEY DIDN’T FORCE HIM TO RESIGN UNTIL IT BECAME IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEND HIM!” And yes, even female Democrats will get slagged, attacked for not speaking up until now, thus “condoning” such behavior from Franken.
