Exactly, the GOP was anxious to find their Obama. The problem was they were (and are) SO shallow and SO short-sighted that they convinced themselves that being under 65 and not a WASP was all it took.

They tried to do it with Jindal too though Jindal’s time in Washington predated Obama.
