Most certainly, in this country the skill of the professional advertising industry, which is employed by politicians and their money masters, has succeeded is corralling the “Christians” in this country into buying the idea that reactionary and xenophobic policies are equivalent to being a good Christian.

This is hardly a new phenomenon, but all one has to do is look at the owners of Salem Communications to understand how and why this happens.

People in this country are afraid. To me the fear seems outsized compared to the actual threats, which are few or far between. But fear is an easy sell.

This gets back to the Christian victimization theme. By using what I’ll call the Victim-vector, one can connect Christianity with the need for the hyper-militarism and torture.
