In either case, I don’t have a problem with it at all because, in both instances, the respective groups and their chemistry and camaraderie are a big part of what made both of their former shows great, IMO.

At least MythBusters is off the air now and the Build Team was off of it when Discovery and Beyond drove it into the ground its last season; Top Gear, Matt LeBlanc’s yeoman’s job aside, is a shambling corpse.

Unfortunately, word is that Discovery’s sister station Science is looking to revive Mythbusters, once they find some new hosts through a “reality TV” competition show. So Discovery’s actually one-upping the Beeb when it comes to shitting on the fans of a beloved show. The Beeb at least made a show of considering the fans when they picked celebrities who’d been on Top Gear in the past and had a love for cars.
