When did standing at bars for the National Anthem before sporting events become a thing?
I was at my neighborhood bar with my buddies (who like me are vets) and noticed some people were standing. Others were sitting with their hands over their hearts. We all agreed this was all politically motivated because until recently we had never seen people doing this, we all agreed that the real reason people are doing this has racial undertones. And I said forced patriotism is not patriotism.
And if anybody wanted to question my loyalty to my county because i wasn’t standing at attention, i would ask them if they served their country like I did, if not, stfu.
