“If more people got out there and voted, we’d have a government that reflected the nation, instead of corporate interests!”

“Agreed. So who did you vote for last election?”

“I didn’t vote.”

“Huh, wha?”

“There was no candidate that fit my personal views completely, so I sat out the election.”

“So you preach greater voter participation, but you don’t practice it.”

“I can’t bring myself to violate my principles by electing someone who doesn’t share my views on all the things that matter.”

“So why not vote for the candidate that shares some of them and compromise?”

“Because I can’t compromise my principles! A candidate who I vote for should reflect my beliefs, not be a corporate stooge!”

“…you didn’t vote because there was no clone of you running.”

“No, I didn’t vote because Bernie had the nomination stolen from him by the DNC on the orders of HIllary.”

“That’s what I thought.”

The good news is if I don’t vote and the more reactionary candidate wins the system will ultimately, eventually, someday, collapse, then we can implement my magical, anti-corporate system.
