The first time I voted, in 2000, I voted for Ralph Nader for president which in hindsight was a

move. I would make similar moves in subsequent presidential elections until 2016, where I voted for a major party candidate (Hillary Clinton) for the first time.

Also, in 2000, I voted yes on Amendment 20 to Colorado’s constitution. That legalized medical cannabis. It passed. I saw my vote for that work, at 18, being a pothead ski weirdo I already was in those days. I was like “Elections are cool…”
