I think they’d have to skip over him if he was in the line of succession, a la Kissinger/Albright as Secretary of State. I mean, in that case, he wouldn’t be elected president, but it would create a bit of a constitutional crisis that we don’t really need/want.

I think we can all agree that it’s not going to happen.
