What if John McCain had picked Joe Lieberman in 2008?

If McCain had picked Joe Liebermann, the Religious Right would have abandoned the GOP and run their own candidate and there would have a schism in the party between base & establishment. As it is, the Religious Right and the Racist Right have taken over the party.

I’ll go to my grave regretting the small role I had in creating that monster.
