So far, all seem to be going along with McConnell’s plan, which is to hold a vote on witnesses after the Senate has heard the AoI sent from the House. The expectation being that the vote will fail on a party line, at which point the Senate Repubs go “Well, I didn’t hear anything from a direct witness,” then vote to “acquit” on the excuse that the evidence was all “hearsay.”

That’s what I am expecting, but maybe they will surprise me. It would only take 4 of them to stop the insanity.
