Sometimes erosion is just erosion.

Reminds me of the Southern Utah hoodoos such as those at Bryce Canyon NP or Cedar Breaks National Monument. Hoodoos are formed by natural erosion, and some end up with capstones that are far larger than the pillars that hold them up - like Balance Rock at Arches.
