So this movie is basically a film adaptation of a Chick tract.

Some people need Fear of Hell to keep them in line, they don’t know how to be good people just for the sake of being good.

Because they believe that if you don’t believe but are good, your destination is hell. That only belief can save you, not love and good works, from hellfire and perpetual torture.
