99 out of 100 times, if you’re mixing the beverage in to a cocktail, you’ll be hard pressed to note a difference between vodkas. However, if you’re drinking ‘em neat (and no ice), you are more likely to tell the difference.

Same with tequila. If you’re just going to have shots or make margaritas with it, you won’t taste much of a difference. However, when you get the higher quality ones that are meant to be savored, you can definitely tell.
