I actually tried learning some when I studied in Ireland but I’m a terrible linguist and not a student for language at all. I think it’s a beautiful language myself.

A friend of mine took Gaelic lessons for several years and eventually moved to Belfast during the height of the troubles, which blew away many of her romantic preconceptions about the Old Sod.
