This is not for Kavanaugh - because I ain’t helping him for anything - but for other men around our age (I’m a few years younger): I realize that things you were taught you could get away with because they happened when you were youngers you can’t get away with anymore. It sucks that you’re being a privileged ass is being held against you. But, this is better for the country. And, anyway, it’s not that you “were” an ass that’s the issue, it’s that you’re still the same person, born of privilege and still believing you deserve something because of it.
