Ryan is now the second Republican today caught on camera admitting he had no idea that Trump had dropped an atom bomb on the GOP’s whole line about just wanting to keep the government open. And the second one who, when confronted about this toxic piece of shit, avoided making any comment about it at all.

Which is why I think that ad was dropped without anyone “higher-up” being apprised -or even aware of it (still less consulted or in a position to control its release). I’m thinking (hoping, really) that this will have the usual effect Trumpian propaganda BS does: i.e. change the conversation from the particulars of legislative deal- making to a more simplistic “Republicans are calling Democrats murderers” narrative.
Wonder who (if anyone) in the WH/campaign knew about this ad?
